Abundance	no records of this species , Distribution map
Distribution	Weltweit, Mittelmeer bis Nordkap, Nordsee und Kattegat Verbreitungsschwerpunkt in gemäßigten Gewässern des Atlantiks an der Ostküste der USA und in Europa einschließlich des Mittelmeeres. Außerdem Einzelfunde im Nordpolarmeer und im zentralen Pazifik, in Australien und Südamerika. Im Wattenmeer vielerorts, in der Ostsee nur im Kattegat.
