Nordhalbkugel, Marokko bis Nordkap, Wattenmeer bis westliche Ostsee Europas Küsten von Spanien bis zum Nordkap, außerdem in Südgrönland und an beiden Küsten Nordamerikas. Alle Küsten von Nordsee und Kattegat, in der Ostsee nur im Südteil.
